follow control mode gives users full control over the camera in your napster world, with or without an avatar this is the default navigation mode for new scenes and is well suited for more immersive experiences it supports three camera perspectives, all of which can be enabled independently first person camera third person camera top down camera enable follow control mode to enable and configure follow control mode open the hierarchy panel click your scene root and select settings scroll to camera settings select follow control mode choose which camera types to enable and adjust their settings follow control mode is enabled by default in new scenes you must enable at least one camera type (first person, third person, or top down) camera types follow control mode has three different camera types first person camera places the camera at eye level of the avatar (if enabled) supports full 360° control over pitch and yaw movement is controlled via keyboard, joystick, or touch controls third person camera camera follows behind an invisible root point (typically an avatar) orbits around the user with full pitch/yaw control (up to 180°) users can zoom in/out by scrolling top down camera camera hovers above the scene, angled downward users can rotate, move, and zoom the camera freely camera settings each camera type can be individually customized these settings are available in the properties when a camera mode is selected setting description fov camera field of view (float) scroll speed how fast zoom/scrolling adjusts the camera distance (float) default distance starting distance for third person and top down cameras (float) free camera allows camera rotation via mouse/touch enabled by default in first and third person camera limits clamp the maximum horizontal motion when free camera is active reset camera returns camera to its default position/rotation after 3 seconds of no input enabled by default camera switching if multiple camera types are enabled users scroll down to cycle first person → third person → top down users scroll up to reverse the cycle disabled camera types are skipped ℹ️ example if only first person and top down are enabled, scrolling will switch directly between those two if only one camera type is enabled, scrolling will adjust camera distance (if applicable) but will not switch perspectives free camera free camera allows users to rotate the view without moving the character it behaves differently depending on mode mode default rotation limits notes first person enabled 360° yaw full control third person enabled 180° yaw orbit around avatar top down disabled 180° yaw optional for overhead navigation you can clamp free camera rotation by specifying max degrees of horizontal motion per mode reset camera when enabled, the camera will smoothly return to its default rotation (and optionally distance) if the user hasn’t interacted with it for 3 seconds the position or angle has changed this helps keep the camera aligned with your intended scene orientation related pages camera modes docid\ nsgcacd6ncrry6rfvg5jb (overview) guided camera mode docid\ lgpainxbqb5hyhhsr2pgf
