ℹ️ this guide shows how to enable and configure follow camera mode for a full list of camera properties and advanced settings, see the camera settings reference follow camera mode allows users to explore your scene freely, with or without an avatar it is ideal for ecommerce focused experiences where visitors can view products and spaces from multiple perspectives this mode supports three camera types first person camera – a direct, immersive view from the avatar’s perspective third person camera – follows behind the avatar for wider context top down camera – provides an overhead view of the scene ✅ follow mode is enabled by default in new scenes enable follow camera mode to enable and configure follow mode in your scene open the hierarchy tab docid\ espwkneone9zjojvdahlq in your scene select the settings entity to open its properties scroll to camera settings in the properties panel set camera mode to follow enable the camera types you want (first person, third person, top down) and adjust their settings as needed ✅ the default follow mode configuration works well for most scenes you can further customize camera behavior if needed 👉 for a full list of options and guidance, see follow camera mode settings camera switching when multiple camera types are enabled scroll down to cycle between them (first → third → top down) scroll up to cycle back disabled camera types are skipped if only one camera type is enabled, scrolling adjusts camera distance (if supported) instead of switching perspectives related pages camera modes (overview) guided camera mode camera settings (reference)
